Rename?

See this claim that, regarding her last name, "Leblanc...[is how] it appears on all archives documents." If so, the article should probably be moved... — Scientizzle 21:16, 12 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Poor article, interesting subject.

[edit]

It's a shame, I wish this article would worry less about how wrong previous books have been and more about the subject matter.Everett3 (talk) 00:41, 5 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]

I have started a translation of the French article including the extra informations presented here and some sources links (French radio shows and a link to a project of a comics under preparation in France about this woman). As I am French native speaker my translation in English is certainly not perfect and vocabulary surely not academic. Don't hesitate to correct my sandbox (if it is possible) or sending me your corrections. Maybe I can also post the draft somewhere to share it before publishing Link to my sand box: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/User:Pierre.alix/sandbox Pierre.alix (talk) 11:30, 30 May 2012 (UTC)Pierre.alixPierre.alix (talk) 11:30, 30 May 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Article updated thanks the active support of Louxema contributor in syntax of English, links and so on. Thanks a lot Louxema! I am waiting for a picture some friends shot few days ago of a statue of this woman in the village of Songy in France. I hope I have not violated any Wiki rule as that's my first article. Poor Article

[edit]

"She survived outside of society for ten years between November, 1721 and September, 1731—longer than any confirmed feral child, perhaps owing to her Amer-indian heritage" Seriously? Like Native Americans have special "survival genes" that allow them to live longer in the wild, even as toddlers? This is an extremely poor article - I suggest rewriting it completely. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 132.66.124.160 (talk) 09:32, 10 August 2009 (UTC)[reply]

More informations somewhere

[edit]

There is a blog about a futur comics book who'll talk about this amazing character. It's written by three authors in collaboration with Serge Aroles who search during 10 years all the documents about her. It's written in french and english. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 178.51.121.136 (talk) 17:44, 29 May 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Response from User:Carlofantom

[edit]

I think I agree with the suggestion of the proposed merger. However, if the Hecquet text were simply to be added to the Marie-Angélique article as it stands it would unbalance it by placing too much emphasis on her to the exclusion of other writers, such as Louis Racine and, especially, James Burnett, Lord Monboddo. To address this issue I shall expand the part of the article that refers to Monboddo. I cannot do this immediately, but probably in June.
